We accept Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, checks, and credit cards. Credit card payments include standard processing fees. You’ll receive full payment instructions after reserving your spot.

The $500 deposit is non-refundable. After January 15, 2026, additional payments can only be refunded if your spot is filled from the waiting list.

If fewer than 10 participants register, the retreat will be canceled and all payments, including the deposit, will be refunded in full.

Yes — absolutely. Many of our guests come with little or no experience. You’ll receive supportive instruction in a low-pressure, welcoming environment.

Yes. Advanced students will receive feedback, mentorship, and opportunities for deepening their creative process in a supportive community.

While watercolor is our central focus, you’re welcome to bring gouache, ink, or other 2D media. Instruction will support foundational and expressive concepts that apply across mediums.

Yes. You’ll have access to shared terraces, quiet corners, and both indoor and outdoor painting spaces.

Yes — many guests attend solo and leave with new friendships. The retreat is designed to be warm, inclusive, and safe for solo travelers.

Yes, space allowing. Non-participating guests are welcome if they’re open to joining meals, excursions, and group time. Pricing is per person, so reach out early if you’re considering this.

Yes. You may request a specific roommate during registration or opt to be thoughtfully paired with another guest.

Yes, a valid passport is required to enter Portugal. U.S. citizens do not need a visa for stays under 90 days. If you're traveling from another country, please check the entry requirements for your nationality. We recommend that your passport be valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates.

Faro International Airport (FAO). Airport pickup and drop-off are included on retreat dates.

Yes — and we encourage it. Arriving a day or two early can be a great way to acclimate to the time difference. We’re happy to suggest nearby Airbnbs or hotels for your extra nights. We also recommend downloading Uber and Bolt apps for easy and inexpensive transportation — and your first Bolt ride may be free if you use a referral link we provide. If you arrive early, we can also help suggest transportation to get you to the villa on retreat check-in day.

While not required, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that includes trip cancellation coverage.

Health insurance is not included in the retreat, but we recommend making sure you have coverage that applies while abroad.

You’ll receive a detailed packing list (including art supplies, travel tips, and wardrobe advice) closer to the retreat date. We're also happy to answer travel questions.

Daily movement sessions include gentle practices like stretching, breathwork, and grounding. They’re designed to support all bodies and energy levels, and participation is always optional. Our group excursion will include walking through a local village. If you have mobility concerns, let us know in advance and we’ll do our best to help with logistics. Activities may also include beach walking, boarding a boat, or bike riding (bike rentals are available at your own expense).

We can accommodate most dietary needs, including vegetarian and vegan. You’ll share your preferences on the registration form.

Yes, Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. We do invite you to unplug as much as you like and be present with the process.
